Opening event of the finishing line in the Wood Wool Plant in Simbach, Germany

On 21st September 2012 the new finishing line for wood wool products in Simbach was officially opened in the presence of Tony Robson – CEO Knauf Insulation, Davide Ducarme – Technical Director, Frans van Zon – Marketing Director and Patrice Briol – HR Director. 

Following the very intensive planning and installation process the new production line finally commenced operation. The wood wool boards are now finished and packed in one process step in a fully automated way. There is no handling in intermediate steps involved - the profiling, painting and packing of Heraklith board are done within this one stop process. The new finishing line for wood wool products ensures time saving and high product quality.
